Ultrasonic welding transducers achieve high frequency vibration with large amplitude by applying pre-stress to counteract the expansion stress of piezoelectric ceramics. Welding transducers require high instantaneous power and high requirements for materials and processes. They belong to the category of multi-functional ultrasonic transducers, and are usually composed of high-power and large-amplitude vibration systems through amplitude changing rods and working heads to complete ultrasonic welding of materials such as plastics, metals, and textiles. Ultrasonic welding generates high-frequency vibrations through transducers, which generate high-frequency friction and heat on the contact gap surface of the welded object under pressure, thus achieving the purpose of hot melt welding.
Ultrasonic welding transducers, also known as welding oscillators, are high-power transducers that operate in gaps or pulses. Their power is generally calculated based on instantaneous peak power.
Features of ultrasonic transducer products
- The front pressure block is made of LY12 alloy aluminum, which has fast ultrasonic transmission speed, low negative impedance, and high conversion efficiency;
- Independently researched and manufactured piezoelectric ceramic sheets, with stable performance, high Q value, low heat generation, and high electrical conversion efficiency;
- The pre force screw is made of high-strength material according to national standard 12.9, ensuring that it does not loosen or break under high-frequency oscillation;
- The electrode is made of beryllium bronze plated lead-free solder wire, which has good conductivity;
- Full inspection to ensure the yield rate;
Use of ultrasonic welding transducers:
The ultrasonic power supply and transducer transmit ultrasonic energy to the welding area through the upper welding component. Due to the high sound resistance at the interface between the two welding areas, local high temperatures will be generated. Due to the poor thermal conductivity of materials such as plastic, nylon, synthetic fibers, non-woven fabrics, multi-layer fabrics, and gold fabrics, they cannot be dispersed in a timely manner and gather in the welding area, causing the two contact surfaces to quickly melt. After applying a certain amount of pressure, they fuse into one. After the ultrasonic wave stops acting, the pressure continues for some time to solidify and form a solid molecular chain, achieving the purpose of welding.
